Wendy Elman
Wendy Elman is an emerging artist working in mixed media and Joomchi paper collage, a 500-year-old Korean paper-making technique that uses water to seal several layers of handmade hanji paper together to create a single organic form.
Her work explores the intersection of storytelling and sensory memory by integrating materials—fibers, sculpture, found objects—with storyscapes that invite viewers into moments of personal reflection. Her work has been featured in artist studio tours and private collections. Based in lower Hudson Valley, she maintains an active studio practice developing new work that focuses on evolution though alchemy.
